Children with both congenital and acquired disabilities are treated at RCFC. |

A young woman came to a hope clinic feeling ill. She left later that afternoon with a diagnosis and free medicine for her condition. |

At this medical facility run by hive, patients receive free medical treatment and medication. |
| In addition to the mobile health clinic, HOPE, along with its partner organizations, maintains numerous established health facilities. The clinics provide preventive and curative services for health problems including HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and physical disabilities. HIV/AIDS assistance, in particular, is central to HOPE's work because many street children have been orphaned by the disease. |

Bapi (right), 10, was living in a train station. He joined a gang of rag pickers, and was introduced to solvents abuse. He sought refuge in a drop-in center run by Hope and was encouraged to join the detoxification program and attend a local school where he is now one of the top students in his class. |
| In conjunction with HOPE clinics, there are drop-in centers where children can visit if they are ill, hungry or need a place to stay. At these centers many of the children learn about the schools and rehabilitation programs that HOPE offers. For example, one school has been opened in a poor neighborhood near the train station to help many of the young rag pickers who have resorted to solvents abuse. Sniffing paint, glue or correcting fluid has become common among street children because it suppresses hunger and offers an escape from the hardships of their daily lives. |

Each child is given a chalk tablet to use in class.

The Hope girls' home provides a safe environment. |
| Children are offered vocational training where they acquire income-generating skills after they have finished their basic education. Understanding the necessity of education for street children, Forrest states, “Education is freedom.” It allows them to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for better jobs and brighter futures. |
