War is expensive, and although peace is cheap, it still needs funding

Check out the new collaborative project that I had the pleasure to be involved in. The Nonviolent Peaceforce and NEED have created a limited edition Peace Bond using one of my photos from Rwanda. The Peace Bond will only be available until January 31st, 2009.

Limited Edition Peace Bond | Photo | Paul Corbit Brown

The girl in this photo wanders neighborhoods with a burlap bag in the hopes of collecting food that is being thrown out. She lives with her mother but they are so poor that she does not have enough to eat. When we met her we were cooking lunch and we asked her to join us for a meal. She ate with us and dumped what she could not eat into her burlap bag right on top of the discarded food that she had collected earlier.
