For impoverished children, education is hope. A textbook in the hands of a child in much of rural Africa is a key to a better future. This holiday season, why not look into buying books for children through the nonprofit organization Books for Africa. Somehow, the organization is able to transform a $50 donation into a hundred books for a needy classroom in Africa. Not too shabby! So perhaps your proverbial holiday shopping cart this year can contain books for friends and family, books for yourself (of course), and a box of books for a better life in Africa.
